It’s not Steam games, it’s AAA games.

Save cost on optimization. Increase the demand for storage. Manufacture the need for data centers. Profit. Why make a product ready for you when they can sell you a problem and a solution along with it?

Indie games on Steam tend to be a few GBs at most.

A few parts have been quite a bit more difficult than I was expecting, and I’m currently stuck again so will have to look up a guide for the next step. Besides a few instances of not knowing the intended path it’s been great so far.

Majora’s Mask. I preordered it and saved up allowance for months. It came to like $100 CAD with tax. Played the shit out of it and finished it in 2 weeks. The game was good, but I was quite disappointed because LttP and Ocarina both took me at least a month each. MM only has like 4 dungeons. Ended up trading it to a friend for Smash Bros.

Lunacid is wonderful. Don’t forget to grab the free game Lunacid: Tears of the Moon as well!

Same. The game is impressive and I respect it, but it’s better when someone else is playing it and not me.

Demon Tides. The sequel to Demon Turf. It’s an open world 3D platformer with a pretty deep move set. Definitely has some Wind waker influence too.

Also been dabbling in Hades. It’s good and fun, but I’m not quite as blown away as I expected to be based on all the hype.

GeoGuessr. I’m both better and worse than I expected to be at this.

I played Demon Turf recently and enjoyed it a lot. Never got around to trying the Demon Tides demo, but still intend to buy the full game. I find it interesting that the reviewer says the game was “held back”, yet still gave it a rating of 8.
