Start here -> https://yunohost.org/
Or alternatively -> https://alternativeto.net/software/yunohost/Then install nextcloud on the server OS.
And find a registrar to pay for a domain name.
Capitalism
Did Jeff Flowers just tacitly admit that he and his council members are spying on all citizens through cell phones, the internet and security cameras 24/7?
It wasn’t by design?
Yunohost + Nextcloud
Co-pilot doesn’t get served by Microsoft.
It gets rammed through your throat,
in your sleep,
right after you’re born.Stop praising their products by pretending that they’re less bad than they really are.

Privacy@lemmy.ml•ChatGPT will now predict your age based on how you interact with it
22·8 months agoNo, what is meant is that “as long is the AI bubble it will get worse, then it gets better”.
And to that I say “It won’t get any better after the bubble pops”.There’s simply no incentive in the US from the left side to change anything that I think needs to change and instead has it’s priorities on things that I don’t think will help the underlying issues at all.

1·8 months agoIt gets worse until the bubble pops is the idea, which I personally don’t think it will for the US.
Ah yes.
The infamous “they” who control everything.
But what “they” who control “they”, who are really in control of the lights in your room and the lights you’re trying to check?
What if there’s an infinite amount of “theys” all the way down that by mathematical logic leads to myself?
What if the interview being held and the question being asked wasn’t meant to test me, but to test you?
What then?
What about trying to figure out first what the other two buttons do? Maybe they turn on the light of the room you’re in. And I can see light without entering a room right? Just open the door, no need to enter it. If not allowed, look at the foot of the door or try to see if the room has a window.
No need to buy fancy equipment or even go into the room at all.

Privacy@lemmy.ml•People with nothing to hide need not be bothered about surveillance, Supreme Court says
1·10 months agoI see a lot of “camera’s in their bedroom” arguments.
That’s a bit unfair, because the Indian government doesn’t have camera’s installed in your bedroom.May I instead suggest to Indians to buy Huawei/ZTE phones, routers or camera’s in your own bedroom that point outside to public places?
I mean the public has nothing to hide right?
Right?
It’s been my experience throughout the years.
I haven’t personally heard “I have nothing to hide”
since Huawei phones started to become banned in my country. The moment they became popular they went from
“I’ve got nothing to hide” to “I’ve got nothing to hide, but this is different. Huawei is subject to the Chinese State.
Those other phones are made by our allies. We may have found time after time again that all phones of all our politicians have been tapped by the US and it’s true that no matter how hard our best security experts searched for listening bugs in these devices, they found diddly squat, but if you own one of those Chinese phones and think you’re not being listened to, than you’re being naive. Naive naive, !be scared!, naive national security naive.”.
When it was Obama listening in on their phones, westeners agree.
When it was Biden or Trump listening in on their phones, westeners went quiet.
When it’s Xi selling phones unbugged, westeners grab your phone throw it on the ground, pour gasoline over it, light a fire, scold you and threaten your life.
One that isn’t controlled to bleat out Netanyahu’s diatribe.
Signal? I don’t trust anything that’s not part of the fediverse.

Not sure what everyone’s opinion here is,
but I find it actually difficult to say that banning smart glasses is a good thing.
The plus side keeping smart glasses legalized to buy or sell,
is that if you’re the victim and it’s recorded, everyone’s going to believe you.
Should we stop criminals from making a mistake?
