Everything else is indeed free here in Canada except for the ambulance. That costs something like $100 per ride. Yes, we complain about it.

Whenever I see the term “consciousness” in a paper, it automatically gets flagged in my head as non-serious. But I work in AI, so maybe that shouldn’t apply to whatever your field is. That brings me to the next problem: I can’t figure out what your field is supposed to be from this paper. It’s lacking the background and prior work sections that would serve to position your work into the greater context of existing work.

Do you use this for physical machines too?

Easy for computers doesn’t mean it’s easy for humans, and vice versa.

Alright, I guess that’s fairly relatable then.

Calories are expensive, and I’m not made of money.

Real. Give me a state of the art lab for multidisciplinary scientific research and some of the world’s best scientists to do as they wish in that lab. I have so many unanswered questions about the universe.
Go fuck yourselves lol […]
Who? What? I don’t see anyone with any 300+ upvote posts, let alone a consistent stream of them. If you’re taking about the account you just responded to, they commented 6 hours ago. There’s 9 other comments that are older than that.
I don’t know how anyone else does it. I’ve tried an evil run in Fallout 3 so I could recruit a particular follower. I had to restart multiple times because I kept accidentally being nice to people, and on my last attempt, I couldn’t even make it to the first town before I stopped playing because it was way too painful to be mean. It felt the same even just watching someone else play Durge on BG3.

Um, I use rechargeable batteries in all my kid’s toys? With how often they need to be replaced, these batteries have already long paid for themselves.

And if you forget or don’t have time to plug them in to recharge?

A non-profit which owns a portion of OpenAI, the for-profit company.

For me, it’s a matter of restoring the convenience and UX that you’ve given up by leaving the big providers.

The rice and bean barons will be competing for your attention.

And where do the laws of logic come from if not from the laws of physics and the way our brains perceive and process them?

Ice cream should be sold by weight. Volume makes Calorie counting so much more complicated.
Honestly, if my career didn’t rely on it, I would entirely skip the publishing part of science. It takes so much more work to communicate your findings than to make them. Of course, that doesn’t help the cause since no one else will be able to build off of my work if I don’t share it.

I don’t know if this is a problem specific to Canadian Protein’s vegan protein, but the one time I tried it, it had the kind of grittiness that sent me into a coughing fit on each sip. Completely undrinkable. It also had this awful flavour evocative of wet cardboard, which they assured me was normal.
I’m not sure where the goal post was to begin with. I just thought it would be important to be aware of how we’re all contributing to the project so that we can make an informed decision. I haven’t thought this through enough to have an opinion on whether we should boycott either Framework or Lemmy.
