Yes, please ban them. If not, soon this space will get overrun with those losers. This is what happened to r/fossdroid and r/opensource. 90% of posts there are from sloppers. It got really bad to the point regulars stopped participating, and now these subreddits are mostly just sloppers congratulating each others. Every post reads the exact fucking same, every project looks fucking similar, even comments. These people barely put effort anywhere.
This is a community for people to share and communicate, else we can all just talk to LLMs. Please don’t let that happen to this community.
At the very least, make posters require to have an AI tag on their posts and a separate day for them to showcase their “projects”.
Please don’t reply saying but Linux uses LLMs, or other whataboutisms. There is a significant difference between code quality from people submitting to Linux and a slopper who vibecoded a project thinking they’re helping.

This guy’s videos get pushed a lot to people interested in privacy. He also (used to?) advertise his own “secure social media” with no metadata/tracking, until some other youtuber discovered it had security vulnerabilities. I’d suggest, stay away from anything related to Brax

PDS is just one part of the whole thing. It’s just the place where your data is stored. Almost all other parts of the network are dependent on Bluesky’s stack. Even the alternatives like Blacksky and Eurosky are still dependent of Bluesky’s implementations like the Appview. So if Bluesky goes down, it affects the other services (in some way) too. One can host a PDS for cheap, but if you want a proper social media service (with post history, search etc), it is kind of expensive. There are other appviews, but for some reason Bluesky going down causes issues in Blacksky, Eurosky etc

I forgot to share the url. It’s this one.

I typed “found it” after just seeing the post/headline on lemmy, but reading through the article, the allegations are from Ubisoft and fucking WB for 2 of their micro transaction heavy games. I don’t think this is what many people were lead to believe with the comments here. I initially thought the allegations were from poor indie devs. I don’t fucking care what Ubisoft and WB does, they are not saints either.

EDIT : Found it.
I’ve seen this being said mostly on reddit but haven’t seen any source/reference to this claim. Is this like an NDA that devs sign ? Has anyone reported on this/archived it ?
Has anyone tried AliasVault ? How’s your experience with it ?
