Elon thought he had a lot more pull than he did, but the invisible hand of the market was happy to fist him a friendly reminder of who’s really in charge here. Musks power is his money and his money is his stock price; without it he is less than nothing.

I hated this change, I’ve used a side taskbar in windows my entire IT career. It makes it painfully obvious which taskbar is yours and which is the servers when logged in over RDP. With this simple tweak, I had quite literally never made a click error on a remote server… Until windows 11.

This has been possible via the BIOS for a while now, but it’s long overdue at the OS level. I love that Value keeps adding little QoL improvements to the steam deck, it’s turned out to be one of the best pieces of tech I’ve ever bought.

People calling this plain ole market manipulation are missing the forrest for the trees. The bond market tells the tale, there was a concerted effort to bleed US bonds and drive the price down, which is why Trump blinked. None of his tax plans can come to fruition if no one will buy US debt, they were just too stupid and shortsighted to see this coming, hence the reversal.
Next time I’m not sure we will get so lucky. For the next “90 days”, Peter Navarro and morons like him will be downplaying the selloff to Trump, which will embolden him to ride it out no matter what happens.

I mean it’s very clear the issue here is Vladdy just proposed they stop attacking energy infrastructure yesterday. The things Ukraine did were actually prior to yesterday, and therefore no agreement existed at the time, hence the outrage.
Cease fires don’t usually include a “but I get to bop you one more time before we honor our agreement” clause.
They have the same goals. Doing it this way, they get their objectives met without getting their own hands dirty.
