On my old android phone, I have a beautiful 24 hour clock (app and widget) which is unfortunately no longer available in the play store.

Just saying, it exists if you know how to look for it. It was Vejle, believe it or not, “24 hour clock”.

On a Hyundai, there’s a very annoying beeping pretty much coinciding with the wheels hitting the lane markings - which IMHO is too little too late, and besides around here most lane markings are made to rumble so it’s not like an additional audio signal is needed.

On my ex’es brand new car, that feature got turned off after very few kilometres, and has stayed off ever since.

Ah, you mean like the sync that Palm OS used to have? Yup, that was neat, and I’m still waiting for Android to pick up some of the neat features from back then.

I’ve read most of folklore.org and do not recall any such story. In fact, how do you even “drag the computer to the waste basket” as the first/only icon would be the System floppy and afaik they’ve never had / still don’t have a “computer icon”. 🤔

What I am really looking for is beyond our email, it’s proper integration between calendar, contacts, and map.

I want to be able to share calendars with my family, and link contacts from certain events (birthdays, meetings, and also just meet-ups). I want those contact’s addresses to be available as navigation destinations in the mapping app. I want to be able to bookmark (“star”) map locations.

Tutorial: or everything into airports and long-distance routes, you’ll make more money than you can spend. 🤷 At least, that’s how it was when I stopped playing it.

Yes, I’ve been on Norwegian Dvorak since 2002 or so.

Biggest problem I’ve had is with keyboards and OS’es (cough 🍎) that don’t support the Insert key, because (a) I cut my teeth on the DOS editor and (b) XCV are all over the place on this layout.

I will always use a proper full size keyboard if at all possible. Those 60% and whatnot are not for me (it’s bad enough when they move the arrow keys).

Oh, and the languages insisting on ${} characters are a pain on any non US layout.
