That proven color revolution? Should they just allow US backed students to take over and give the reins to western puppets…?

But piracy is a MUCH smaller issue than theft. Piracy doesn’t deprive the original owner of any material thing. Piracy might decrease sales and profits (research actually says the opposite 🤷♂️).
And we have no idea the actual material impact AI will have on the arts. From the reaction we’re seeing it might even make people turn more and more to physical hand crafted art.
We’re already seeing that social media is favoring videos of artists’ processes much more than the final results.
So yeah, no, I don’t see this situation as so much more terrible than theft. I really don’t understand how it could be.
To me it seems the main issue is not even AI, it’s capitalism. If artists didn’t need to sell their art to survive, we wouldn’t even have this discussion.

Still not theft? Things can be bad without being theft.

No AI is the product of any theft. If we’re talking about piracy, piracy is NOT theft. I thought we all agreed on this already.
For people confused about the price, just look up any clothes by Issey Miyake. That’s the costly part, Issey Miyake.

Seems like the only way companies can turn “AI” profitable is to do massive lay-offs to cut costs. Not because AI can actually take on those jobs that were cut, but because it’s a “good” excuse.
Awesome.
We like in the dumbest cyberpunk version of the future. Predatory capitalism but all the tech is vaporwave and it’s all just dumb dumb finance bros running the show.

The UK has ALWAYS been worse than China what

Israel =/= the “Jews”.
Israel’s founders were actually very prejudiced against Jews that survived the holocaust. And much more against the ones that didn’t actually…

Yeah because paracetamol, and most other modern drugs, are purely petroleum-based. Thank the Rockefellers for that!

Performance-wise apple’s chips are way ahead of amd and any other arm based chip as well. Not sure what you’re talking about.
And compatibility ofc, that’s what I meant good software. Like optimizing steamOS to run on the m chips.
But that would never happen of course.

Apple does have the technology though… imagine a steam deck with the m series chip? An m4 pro could run basically all modern games on a small screen at 60+ fps with the right software…

I feel like Outer Worlds at least tried to have a message. But they got scared and pulled away and gave up before the end. It starts way stronger than Fallout 3 imo. At least when it comes to writing and story. It’s of course not a SERIOUS game, but it tries to say something even if it does give up. In my experience Bethesda games are allergic to having a message or point.

That’s literally one of the first missions 😭

I personally loved it. I finished it quicker than most games I’ve played the last few years. I was actually surprised. It’s not a long game by any means, but still.
I didn’t love that it started a bit more radical and became more lib over time, but I still enjoyed the writing and gameplay quite a bit. It’s silly fun, and it’s not pretending not to be. It does have a message, but it’s not overtly drab or serious.

Yeah? The executives are firing people, to lower costs, make the numbers look better…? Which makes the owners of the business money?
Why wouldn’t the executives get bonuses or golden parachutes if let go? They are doing exactly what they are supposed to do.
Executives don’t make products, provide services, or add any productive value. They are just the face of the owners, and will do the “hard” things for them.
Like lie, commit crimes, do mass-layoffs etc etc.

Yeah… you’re gonna have to do better than that. That article is almost entirely based on the Black Book of Communism, a known bullshit book filled with ridiculous numbers and “estimates”.
Like it includes Nazis killed in WW2 as “victims of communism”. And if those are the victims, good riddance in my books…

Source? Never heard of this. They genocided ethnic minorities and instituted privatization, eroding worker rights?

Well… the “Pixar-like characters with stiff expressions” seems to be a stylistic decision, not a technical blunder.

Not photorealistic, realistic. So normal proportions, faces, textures etc.
Like I’d argue Golden Eye is a game with a realistic art style. It is as realistic as the technology allowed at the time. But it clearly tries to emulate the real world, and not a fantastical cartoony world or a woodcarved illustration, or anime etc etc.
The comment from the ME guy is probably in response to Dragon Age Veilguard being much more cartoony than Inquisition. Characters have huge heads, textures are flat and stylised etc.
Example?
