I totally give them credit for that, but Steam was also a behemoth before all of that. They’ve been massive for over a decade at this point, maybe two. Everyone that’s tried to be a competitor has come in clearly not understanding the basics of Steam’s business model.
Nah, I don’t think so. I personally would rather that they arrested Bin Laden, and tried him in international courts, but I don’t see a problem with Obama killing him.
Stonewalled? He got a lot of support for blowing up innocent people. He wasn’t forced to do any of it, he was proud of it. If he wanted us out of Iraq, why didn’t he at least try? He had every opportunity to pull out, but proudly decided that more war was a good idea. At no point was congress forcing his hand in that.

You are correct. My hatred of someone who bombed innocent people, screwed over the poor and working class, and expanded torture programs won’t allow me to say that he was a great president. If he wanted to be remembered as a great president, then maybe he shouldn’t have done those afwul, evil things.
Imagine being a 4 year old in the middle east. Imagine being blown up by the first half-black president! Do you know how amazing and progressive that must feel?
Imaginge being tortured in a prison, with the approval of a person who had been called the N-word. Can you imagine how liberating that must be?
Imagine losing your home, and watching the bank that owned your mortgage making billions of dollars in profit, but all, while a PoC was president. Can you imagine how great that must feel? To know that America was so forward thinking?

No, I mean after 9/11 when Obama continued Bush’s policies, including torturing people at black-sites, and bombing children overseas. I also mean when Biden sent Haitians off to torture camps in Guantanimo. I also mean when Biden spent a bunch of money expanding ICE, the border wall and our military.
So yeah, if you keep ignoring when Democrats act evil, you won’t have any memory of them acting eveil. I suggest next time you look for data, before saying that you don’t remember any data.
Me neither, but I do recall them going after people of a certain religion, and sending them to torture prisons. I remember them fast-tracking a bunch of funding for the wall, and deporting more people than first-term Trump.
So sure, maybe they didn’t campaign on being evil, but once they had the power, they sure acted evil.
And Democratic leadership failing to deliver is what caused a split in the Democratic party. Mamdani is a chance for them to start delivering, and re-unite the party.

While those things had an affect, I don’t think they were the main reason. The Dems sitting on their ass when they had a chance to fix things, their pandering to the rich, their pro-war stance, and their general disdain for the desires of their voting base were a much bigger reason.

Advertisements are an attack to manipulate me and change my behaviour. I don’t tolerate them at all. They also ruin the product, because it eventually becomes more important to cater to the advertisers than the users.
If Youtube went back to how it was originally (no ads, downloadable videos, creator-controlled, etc), I, and many others, would happily pay them even if we could get the content for free (see Patreon, or GoFundMe, or PornHub, or Imgur, or Reddit, or many other sites as examples).
