  • I’m not suggesting that this is the sole reason, but have you considered the possibility that the US supports Israel in part because it is a white-majority nation of largely European ancestry among Arab states? Especially considering the circumstances that led to its creation. I am more and more convinced lately that this plays a part, though it may be small.

However, what you mention is clearly happening too. It’s likely a variety of factors, but I would agree that money is a big motivator. AIPAC is certainly able to achieve a high level of autonomy, so that would point to it having tacit endorsement/approval from the US political establishment and that’s more than likely from legalized bribes.

  • That’s a very fair and reasonable analysis. I just think that Biden actually believes in Zionism and fundamentally agrees that Israel should exist and “defend itself” (i.e., commit genocide). He isn’t just playing politics like Reagan. That’s why he does things that don’t seem to make logical sense.

There’s obviously something going on behind the scenes though, I agree. There’s probably a lot of money being paid so politicians on both sides sit on their hands, among other things. Here in Canada, Israel lobbies aggressively, pays for our representatives to take trips there, etc.

But I do think Joe Biden is an earnest Zionist himself.

  • Then you can’t “hide” your server IP without a VPS/VPN set up. Maybe I’m not understanding what you’re asking? Your public IP is visible to any machine you connect to and that includes Cloudflare’s servers.

Are you worried about copyright or something? This isn’t legal advice, but I doubt they give a shit unless you’re hosting content illegally for a large number of people. Obviously, only take the risk if you are comfortable with the potential consequences where you live.

Free software can be freely copied, modified, distributed, etc. This doesn’t mean you don’t have to pay for it.

Open source software has its source code published. It doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re able to copy some or all of it, modify it, distribute it, etc.

It’s getting more and more common that, even in cases where code is open source, only part of the codebase is actually available. This is something that Microsoft (and other wealthy tech companies) loves to do to show that it’s “transparent.”

  • Thankfully, I hate how bloated and disgusting I feel when I drink, otherwise I’d probably be an alcoholic like my mom, who died of alcohol poisoning after being the life of the party for years until it got so bad she wasn’t fun anymore.

Shit is bleak out there, no one gives a shit if you have a drinking problem because it’s so normalized. Then when you need help and are pushing everyone away, there’s barely any support unless you have money. And AA programs have their own issues.
