If you compare with excel or similar. They do not write excel the program. But there is a lot of tinkering with algorithms and functions to get the wanted results.

Suicide assist is horrible. Around here there is no middle of the road separator, to narrow road. So it tries to hit head first the traffic in the opposite way.
Never been an issue for me debian+kde+steam it started right up the first time i tried. No tweaking needed.
It happens, and is somewhat common. So in what way is the practice a benefit for the corp? I doubt it is just bragging rights?
Calling hashing “mining” was probably the most stupid thing in bitcoin. Since it have nothing to do with minting new coins. It is tru that miners get a bonus in addition to the fees of the block when successful. But that bonus is reduced regularly and will eventually go away.
The power consumption used by hashing became quickly insane by companies chaseing a quick buck.
Family sharing is also very great
Same i have friends that have crashed perhaps once or twice a week on windows. But never been an issue for me on linux. Only had it for the last month tho. Could be an older fixed issue as well.
Having launch issues seems to be the norm nowadays.I do lot think anyone expects complex software to be bug free.
But the response and speed of fixing issues from arrow head are very good, and an example for others to follow.
Dedicated servers are awesome tho. And all great games have that. Makes the game live forever if the community cares enough. Cnc renegade and enemy territory still have players.
Probably the best game i am playing, 6000h+ into it now. If you like that type of game, you will love factorio.
Has a free demo on steam, so you can try before you buy.
Debian stable on servers.
Debian testing on the daily driver.
Gives you a rock solid server, that will pull absolutly no suprises.
And your daily driver gives you a playground for what comes in the next upgrade.
That too that there are 3 different .docx does nothing for standardization
I know it is a complete joke. But every time i think of c++ i am reminded of this prank article https://www-users.york.ac.uk/~ss44/joke/cpp.htm
Not seen a fs corruption yet. But i have only run ext4 on around 350 production servers since 2010 ish.
Have ofcourse seen plenty of hardware failures. But if a disk is doing the clicky, it is not another filesystem that saves you.
Have regularly tested backups!
Iso allowing itself to be coopted into fast tracking standarizing ooxml in 2008 continues to be horrible. Ms can point and say: see ooxml is a true open format.
Absolutly. Sometimes you find randoms that speak, or manage to work together and it is also good. But friends is the top tier.
old post, but I so wonder why you got downwoted for saying it like it is. a good isp will give you a /56, the minimum best practice. a great isp will give you a /48 you’r router will also participate in the wan /64, but that is just the uplink, and not something that will be used on the lan. https://www.ripe.net/publications/docs/ripe-690/#4--size-of-end-user-prefix-assignment---48---56-or-something-else-
Wtf is a real elon musk? He is not elon musk of tesla. But is not uncommon for multiple people to have the same name.
Poor man it must be annoying to have to introduce yourself as “elon musk, no not that elon musk” all the time?

I think the venn diagram overlap of linux users, and users of adblockers or noscript users that block such tracking is quite large. Must impact the statistic significantly.
