Thanks! I’ll watch the video.
Thanks! I’ll watch the video.
Ooh, time to play the first two games!
No idea tbh. I mainly play on consoles, and until a few days back I didn’t even know Xbox publishes game on Steam too. Will have to check protondb. Will take a look.
A bit off topic, but I have been using Arch for over a decade now, and it has been pretty stable for me. My only issue in last few years were if my kernel got updated which needed updated nvidia driver, and I rebooted before noticing that. (Very old laptop, so nvidia drivers for this aren’t in repos, hence the issue). I didn’t use it for gaming though (very old laptop, wouldn’t even run old games)
BTW I recently went the opposite way, have been using only Linux for over a decade but got a new laptop a month back and kept the windows as a dual boot, though my main interest is to use it only for MS/Xbox first party games, that don’t have Linux support. Saving me from buying a separate Xbox.
I haven’t played it, but generally it doesn’t sound fun. @MyNameIsAtticus@lemmy.world makes it sound fun. 😀
You make this game sound so fun.
Now that he has died and respawned, is he still Jerry’s son Cable? Or is it a new character now?
What did he do?
Wow, as a fan of Flight of the Conchords, what a waste!
I think I played it on Vita. Remember loving it when I played it. As you said, the game wasn’t too difficult, nor too easy.
I just looked it up at psnprofiles to see if I Platinumed it, and turns out I only cleared 2 out of 10 chapters. (Also there is no Platinum trophy) Guess it’s time to give it another go.
Edit: Just looked up the trophy details. They are tied to hidden collectables not chapters, so I did finish the game 😀
Disclaimer: I haven’t played it yet, but I have talked to people who have liked it and who have hated it.
The games is very good, but it’s not a typical Final Fantasy game. They have removed, or reduced the RPG elements, and made it a very good action game with good narrative. So, if you go in expecting an RPG like previous Final Fantasy games you won’t like it. If you just go in expecting a good action / adventure game with some RPG elements, you’ll probably end up liking it
Patientgamers FTW!
So, as someone who got hyped because he is the man behind Black & White and Fable. What am I missing?
That’s understandable. Everyone has their own preferences, and there is nothing wrong with that.
They are remastering all the old ones, so I am hopeful for a new entry,
If you enjoy a game, but later find out that the game had some internal check where it auto-adjusted difficulty, will you stop liking it?
Again, not all games should have it. And not every dev implement it properly, that doesn’t mean a feature is inherently bad. There are places where it should be used, and where it should be used.
Well, not everyone plays games to get better. If I can enjoy the game, then what does it matter if games lets me think I am better than I actually am?
It’s your right to like or dislike any features. Just as it’s our right to like or dislike any features. There is no objectively good or bad in it.
Haven’t watched the video, but it depends on the game. For some games, these are very valid choices.
Can I ask for recommendations here?
I mainly play on PS and Switch, and have a long list of games that I want to play, so am fully covered there, but recently updated my laptop, and this one has a nice Nvidia card in it, so was thinking about catching up on the PC only games I missed.
I am currently playing Trails in the Sky series, and plan to get Age of Empires and other Xbox / MS games like Halo, Gears of Wars, Fable etc.
Any other PC-only, must-play recommendations from last 10-15 years?
