Wait, do you guys have editors specifically for recipes?
I write mine in an .epub (using Calibre) and send it to my 7" e-reader

Should work just fine, I believe that keycaps are fairly standard and almost any set that’s not a “low profile” will fit
Man, that’s sad to hear, but I guess it’s not entirely surprising
I bought several Keychron boards (a K10, A V6 and a Q1) and never had any problems, but the last one I bought was back in 2023 (so there is plenty of time for the brand to get worse)
(I have 0 knowledge on the matter, but just wanted to say:)
Insane? Yes. Dumb (or incompetent/incapable?) I guess not
Anything from !unix_surrealism@lemmy.sdf.org
Which I’m sure some of them are, but not in the capacity that anyone wants them to be.
I laughed, then I cried :_(
Ahh, things are starting to make more sense now hahahaha, I didn’t think we were supposed to heat the board, I always tried to heat the tin directly above the pads and let it flow down. Also, I don’t think the iron has adjustable temperature, I literally bought the cheapest one on the store (bad call on my end)
Someone in !mechanical_keyboards@programming.dev suggested a bodge wire, that’s what I’ll look into when I have more time (instead of relying on PCB traces) Given how much I already damaged the board (as seen in the picture), I hope this will be a safer method
I admit that my soldering skills are fairly limited, and I have a very basic soldering iron (I don’t know if I should upgrade to a better one, as I don’t have any use for it besides this keyboard)
This is what the board currently looks like on my desk, I love it (even though the missing RGBs look silly hahahha)
I do believe my experience in this regard is not representative of everyone, I probably failed to untick some checkbox (regarding communications) and the “too many ad emails” are a handful (in 3 months), which to me is a handful too much (having to untick a box should not be necessary)
I get your point, though Tailscale specifically crosses a line for me in this sense:
I am not that big of an enthusiast, but the way I see it, if a company goes rogue and you’re using their open source code, it’s just a matter of forking it (I’m thinking about Emby/Jellyfin as an example) If you rely on their infrastructure (such as Tailscale servers) then you are at the mercy of the companies
To that end: I’d say that OP is prettt on point by suggesting Headscale, you’re still “using Tailscale” in a sense, but without chaining yourself to the business
Yup, I don’t know if that is OP’s intention, but I would agree myself with the complaint that “Tailscale is a business”
The way I see it, if it’s a business it must generate revenue (either now or down the road), and that is enough to have me worried. I do have a Tailscale registration, and the way they approach email communication is already a yellow flag to me (too many ad emails)
And an ISO q1 while we’re at it I also have one of those and I love it dearly
Oh, I see That sounds interesting, perhaps I’ll look into it sometime
