  • Thanks for this post, there are some good racing games out there for sure, however I can’t recommend JDM at all.

I played the demo early last year and have been eagerly awaiting the release this year. They pushed back the release date from March this year to improve things further which I thought was a good sign but ultimately once it has landed it is just not enjoyable. The car and modification selections are great as are the visuals but the handling model is just fucking shite. I tried playing it for around 5 hours and it is just not enjoyable to actually play.

Another one worth checking out is the new Tokyo Xtreme Racer game. This is more a highway racer that is still in EA, the gameplay loop is OK although it can get a bit boring for me personally and it definitely needs some improvements in the handling and physics as well as the balance but it is still in active development and I will keep an eye on it.

Also good is Nightrunners. This is also a highway racing game but made by one dev. It is stylised to look like a late 90s vhs and the modification options are fucking amazing. Again this is still in development but is definitely worth a look if you like JDM cars!

  • I realise you are having health issues from reading your other posts and you should always prioritise that!

I really have so little interest in that short form twitter esque posting that I actively reject it so if I’m being completely honest I doubt I will go there.

Don’t push yourself to post the long form posts, get better and the best of luck with your upcoming appointments. I will look forward to your return to the long form post and hopefully with accompanying info of how well you are doing physically in the future :D

You are not an imposter, you are the fediverses premier gaming journalist and I’ll fight anyone that says different xD

    Have a good day!

  • I’ve always avoided games based “journalism” (and all journalism really) as in my experience it tends to be full of over opinionated bullshit however your posts are different.

I genuinely enjoy your posts, they are well written, clear and succinct. You offer your opinion on things you genuinely enjoy but usually as a side note rather than baking it into the news or subject you are writing about and it is generally clear you are just passionate about the things you are writing about.

Where can I join the PerfectDark fan club?

  • Do you have any more information on those manuals in terms of how they made them? (Or a link to where I could read the info) Things like printing process, materials used etc. I work in print so that kind of interests me and from the photos they look of an OK quality so I was just curious.

All the best with your health, I enjoy reading through your posts even if I am not commenting every time but health is always more important so I hope things take a positive turn for you!

  • Soggfy was just the first thing I tried that worked without crawling for shitty yt downloads of the same things and so I stuck with it. If the audio quality is the same then I really don’t see what difference it makes in the grand scheme of things.

I will try out zotify so thanks for the name but it isn’t like it will be any quicker as I’ll still do everything in “real time” as I want to maintain my account and not get banned as it is a family plan and I don’t want to negatively impact the other people that use the same plan.

Also I know people love to use command line but soggfy is just a modified Spotify client so I can just open it up and start what I need in a couple of clicks

  • You are only going to be able to get 320 mp3s from Spotify at the very best, I use soggfy to intercept the audio and rip the tracks so you need to let the playlists run (although you can up the speed they play at) and there will also consequently be some organisation needed of the files afterwards so it is far from automated but works fairly well.

A lot of the tools around take your playlists and find what it thinks are the correct tracks on YouTube and then rip from there so be wary of the quality you might get from those.

I compared a track I ripped from Spotify with a 320 mp3 of the same track I had bought with a spectrometer (I think that is the correct name) and they looked identical

  • Yes. Unihertz have a couple I’m aware of but their software is dog shit, fx tec pro is out dated and over priced. The blackberry keytwo was the absolute best phone I have ever owned but that is now too old for security updates too so really isnt the best thing to have as your main phone.

Would be happy to hear of some others I may have missed. I backed the planet computers astro slide on indiegogo and they only delivered around 2000 units before stealing everyone elses money. Fucking cunts they are.
