  • I started it earlier today and it is pretty nostalgic so far, I’m looking forward to putting some more time into it! Thanks for making me aware of its exsistence!

I had a similar problem with CD players in my car jumping due to bass around 07, my solution was using a power inverter and a laptop running winamp with my whole CD collection ripped onto it propped up on my centre console xD

  • I do agree I loved it the way it was and think it worked very well I just don’t think it sold very well. I don’t think I met anyone else that was aware of it, let alone played it.

I didn’t know there was a PSP version though, I might have to get a ROM of it and load it up onto my vita and give it a go! I’m guessing you would recommend giving it a try? ;P

I do remember printing a load out for myself at the time when I realised it was possible but it could never replace the look and feel of real cards.

I’m going to have a search tomorrow for my set actually now after having this comversation, just to see what I actually have and check it isn’t getting damp :D

  • I still have a set with the camera, playmat etc and loads of extra cards somewhere in storage and I haven’t owned a PS3 for years.

It was by no means a perfect game but it was such a unique experience that I just loved.

Imagine if someone made a modern version based around Magic the Gathering, YuGiOh or hell even pokemon TCG. Summoning your monsters and watching them attack. I’d eat that right up!

  • What genre of music is it you are looking for?

I follow a lot of people on SoundCloud and will listen to different mixes from people I already like which can then introduce me to new tunes and artists via those mixes.

I also follow a lot of people on bandcamp which can help me keep up with their releases but also you can follow different genre tags on there which will then suggest you new and older releases that fall within that genre. You can also browse the genre tag to then get suggestions of artists you may not already be aware of.

Also on bandcamp if you browse a lot of the same genre you will notice users who buy a lot of the same genre as you so I have a few “fans” I follow and I will periodically look through their purchases to find new shit.

The only downside to the genre tags on bandcamp is the artists incorrectly tagging their release so for example I follow dubstep mainly but a lot of people that release this kind of music will use both the dubstep and drum and bass tags for the same releases even if it only actually falls into one of them.

In this same vein you can have a look at the charts on things like Juno or beatport (although personally I can’t stand beatport so will not buy from them) that will list new releases within a genre or list what is selling well (new and old) within that genre.

  • I did the same, beat it on PS3 back in the day and thought it was alright. However I went back to it this year just to play through the single player again as I was craving that kind of gameplay (funnily enough after playing sleeping dogs for the first time). My god is it trash, the single player campaign is the same shit over and over, I couldn’t even finish it this time it was just so fucking boring.

Ive been playing since the first game, remember the insane hype and build up to San Andreas with the welcome to the jungle trailers but 6 I just couldn’t care less about. The franchise is dead to me, everything that made it good is gone, I just wish there was a decent alternative.
