I got Guild Wars running on deck a while ago now just to see if I could but it wasn’t super playable due to things like text size. Looking forward to this update, making a new character and giving it a go to see how the experience has changed!

Ooooo maybe it is time to make a new character and revisit one of the best games ever! Hopefully this will make the place more populated for a while at least.

Ah OK. I have refunded it now so can’t try as I spent nearly 2 hours “in game” time trying to get the thing working and didn’t want to go past that 2 hour threshold and then be stuck with an expensive game I couldn’t play.

I did, I tried multiple Proton versions, tried experimental and tried it with the bleeding edge beta option.

None of them acted differently, all if them loaded the black screen with the loading icon bottom right and then crashed and gave no details on why it crashed at all.

I can’t get the damn thing to load on my machine -_-

The ones I use are the light lenses. They are yellow in colour and so don’t drastically decrease the light your eyes are getting like a darker glass might but tales away that glare.

I recommend giving it a try if you can!

Reflectacles?

I’ve had two pairs of these I bought years ago but unfortunately lost one pair. Chatted with the guy when I bought them and he seemed like a sound guy. I hope being sold out means his business is doing well!

Only issue I have with them is they aren’t really wide enough and I have a small head. Not that they fit badly, they aren’t too tight but the design looks too small on my face that it looks a bit comedic tbh.

They are also really nice to drive in at night as they stop you from being blinded by the absurdity that is modern headlights.

Even if you knew what to do I find those captchas for archive links never work. It will just make me keep completing them forever and never show me the site.

To be fair I never played the older games so I was more specifically referring to the new ones. At this point as well I think the older ones are too old to go back and try out for me having never played them and I doubt I’d get on with them without the nostalgia element.

Elder Scrolls games but specifically Skyrim.

I have tried it multiple times but I just don’t understand how so many people can put so many hours into a game when an element you are going to be engaging in for a lot of your play through is one of the worst in the genre, the combat. It is floaty, imprecise and has zero feeling of impact. It is just horrible. I felt the same about Oblivion but Skyrim seems to be held in even higher regard.

I did consider it when I broke that port as I used batteries on that controller for a short while but as weird as it sounds I like using it wired.

Micro USB is utter trash for sure but now with USB C I’m happy. I only had that one time when my own clumsiness ruined that one controller.

I haven’t ever tried a series X/S controller but I had a couple of 360 controllers that lasted through many many years of abuse then moved on to the ‘one’ controllers and the only issue I have had with those is an older micro USB version that I dropped with the cable plugged in and it smash the port off the board inside.

That issue was my fault so in general I have had very good experiences with them all.
