Wow, from the article you linked here’s one of them plotting to wield a fascist mob against a journalist just like a proper villain, in case there were any doubts:
“If things get hot, it may be interesting to sic the Dark Enlightenment audience on a single vulnerable hostile reporter to dox them and turn them inside out with hostile reporting sent to *their* advertisers/friends/contacts,” Mr. Srinivasan said in an email viewed by The New York Times, using a term, “Dark Enlightenment,” that was synonymous with the neoreactionary movement.
Y Combinator seems like a nexus of creepy and unhinged techbros, I’m not surprised they have a CEO who wields antisemitic conspiracy theories against his critics.
Kagi has a “Fediverse Forums” lens.
Take a look at Meta revenue numbers, they can afford billions in R&D investment just fine. I’m not sure what market share you’re talking about but there’s plenty of money for them to afford the VR research they do.
The US military has a massive global logistics operation and spends their time training for doing things like this. Of any organization on earth they probably have the greatest capacity for building a floating pier and ensuring aid flows through it. Why are you so hung up on the logistics of building material deliveries?
The US military is building the floating pier with materials they get from the US taxpayer. If you’re trying to argue it’s a waste of tax dollars, its not.
I pay for mine, not sure how it differs from the free version but you can turn logging off, or if you have logging on you can specific how long to store logs and what jurisdiction to keep them in (I keep mine for a few months in Switzerland). You of course have to place some trust in NextDNS the company that they are actually doing what they claim to do as far as respecting user privacy but I trust them more than Google and Cloudflare, which is what I was using previously.
NextDNS - I use it on my router and all mobile devices.
That’s good to hear, I don’t use it. As I said, I’ve only checked it out a few times and that was not recent. My impression of it is apparently outdated, or doesn’t reflect a common experience. The times I looked at it there were half naked women in bathtubs and shit like that.
I thought it was pretty well established that Twitch was like a softcore OnlyFans that caters to lonely gamers seeking parasocial relationships, but that’s just my impression as someone who doesn’t pay attention or care about this stuff. The few times I’ve looked at it the sexualized content was obvious and unavoidable.
Why do you believe “the process must start elsewhere”? I’ve literally had YouTube start feeding me this sort of content, which I have no interest in at all and actively try to avoid. It seems very obvious that YouTube is a major factor in inculcating these belief systems in people who would otherwise not be exposed to them without YouTube ensuring they reach an audience.
That’s part of the fun. Sometimes you get someone else’s fuel points too. It’s kind of like gambling whenever you fuel up. Over the long term it probably evens out, or at least I feel like I get a fuel discount pretty often with it so I don’t worry about it. Worse case I’m helping someone else save a few bucks, it doesn’t feel like a problem.
Why was it forked? Is the original no longer being developed?
Peace in our time!
This has been annoying the shit out of me recently. I use several different computers so I keep running into this dumb shit. I feel like I’m in an endless fight to not use Edge. Microsoft knows I don’t want to use it but they keep shoving it in my face again and again regardless. I really wish regulators would step in and put a stop to this nonsense.

Yes, Hamas is immoral and does idiotic things from our perspective but it’s a mistake to believe that makes them idiots. They didn’t just stumble into attacking Israel, and they weren’t naive about how Israel would respond.
Hamas are not idiots, the response is exactly what they wanted. A whole new generation of resistance is being bombed into existence now and Israel is alienating its closest allies to do it, for Hamas that’s a victory. They expected Israel to kill a bunch of random civilians in a brutal response to their attack, it’s not a surprise for them.
He also got caught secretly funding a racist trolling group to spread hate and harass people.
