Critical Raster Angle Protrusion
What they are trying to say is that open source and libre solutions have rendered their investments shitty.
Wake me up when it releases on F-Droid
There was a similar post about Android 16 releasing “”““today””“” a week ago and nothing happened
Yeah, I mean, if I was Unihertz, I’d give all my drivers’ code to LineageOS and sales would skyrocket. I don’t know why they don’t do this.
Unihertz never updates their phones. It’s amazing, fairly repairable hardware, but software support is terrible.
It’s sad. They could let the community handle it, but they won’t.
Is it worth a try or is it just a rebrand for now?
matchd comes with systemd so yours is bloat
Yes, I was thinking… How much tax on Google will force it to get out? I’d say it’s definitely a lot more money.
Also, what’s interesting is that… If Google got kicked out… Nothing would happen. There’s libre software for everything Google does.
Please stop with these useless articles. Yes, every world power likes gathering metadata. And no, USA is not a “better place” for metadata gathering.
Well, you fell on the sad trap of the “default flavour” of many distros.
I think GNOME only has that presence because… It’s american. Otherwise… No one can beat the possibilities and features of KDE Plasma. Truly a complete desktop, so good you could downgrade it to work like GNOME if you wanted.
Let me stop you right there: the chances of Jellyfin going rogue are much smaller. It’s libre software. It’s GPL. It’s copyleft. We are pretty much safe.
You are not a Plasma user it seems.
As a Unihertz owner: stay sway from any of their products. Software support is non-existent. If you are lucky, you may get 1 update 1 month after release.
They are a niche brand, so custom ROMs simply don’t properly work.
What I’ll never understand is why they don’t release their code and let the community make Unihertz the best brand ever, because hardware quality is incredible. But this hardware is useless with terrible software.
RISC-V will also come to you, don’t worry.
KDE Plasma Hack masterrace
What s the Plasma version?
Does omebody know about a trusted tool for easy deletion of specific chunks of info from Facebook?
I would like to keep some stuff so no copycats can be made, but I’d like to delete things such as my “liked movies” and shit.
I did.
Hardware is amazing. I broke the screen after a month (my fault) and the replacement part was official, 40 €, and literally 3 minutes of repair time, no glue, no fancy equipment needed.
BUT Software support is non-existent. Not even security updates. Seems like this is something typical for Unihertz, which is really sad because these guys would become top sellers if they opened up for community contributions to software (Lineage OS or something), because, as I said, hardware is excellent and fairly repairable.
