So much lost knowledge. Even on forums that remain, I feel as though 80% of all images no longer function. Especially frustrating when said image is constantly referred to.
People who use it (for forum type chatting) are probably trying to avoid non enshittified platforms. Ironically they don’t realize discord is heading towards the same path. Free screen sharing, high quality voice calls, image and video sharing and file sharing for FREE is not sustainable. Eventually they are going to crackdown on its users, which is unfortunate but predictable.
I’m not, it’s just that a lot of electronics and particularly bad ones catch fire.
It’s certainly not normal but it’s frankly inevitable. All it takes is some fraying wire, failing insulation, manufacturing defect on the PCB or components and something slightly flammable nearby (usually the product itself). That and how much stuff people usually have plugged in, somebody is going to experience a fire eventually.
Regulations on Chinese garbage are practically non existent. There are countless cheap chargers that will start fires. One nearly caused one in my home as a kid.
To be honest, with a company as massive and diverse of Samsung, you are guaranteed to have multiple products that catch fire in one way or another. Samsung makes up 20% of South Korea’s entire economy, that’s the monolithic scale of Samsung.
In Japan a normal response to “do you have any hobbies” is “sleeping” if you don’t have any.
I find it hilarious that despite competition from a dozen game studios and publishers, steam essentially destroyed all of them by doing basically nothing and merely maintaining their service.
Work at a tech shop and the largest drive I’ve seen in person are 12 tb
So so so much worse when the comment is deleted and OP replies “thanks!”
God what is it with every social media app sucking hot fucking garbage despite being the most popular way to access it?. Especially if the app was bearable and progressively got worse.
I like this kind of minimalistic art. Many believe art needs to be deeply profound and inspiring via complexity and detail. However art like this brings me such a pure, simple joy. It’s okay just to observe, enjoy and be content with the simplest things.
Ehhh, not so much. Honestly the rating for carcinogenic substances is very shaky and can be very misleading. Like many things, poison depends on the dose and the same with carcinogens. Bacon is a group 1 carcinogen, and cigarettes are a group 1 carcinogen. Despite the same rating, cigarettes are BY FAR much more carcinogenic.
For group 2b “possible carcinogens”, it usually coincides with the frequency of the product. For this rating they review what a cancer victim typically eats/consumes/interacts with. Aspartame and many other ingredients, are labeled as possibly carcinogenic, as many victims have eaten them, but there is no strong correlation.
The problem is however, many of these ingredients are so common that almost everybody eats them. It’s like saying “everybody who drinks water dies, it’s poisonous!”.
Exactly I’m a tech guy and I don’t give a fuck how many other tech guys say “bing is really good now”, I’m never fucking using it.
Same except it’s some horrifying shit like “Ukranians are Nazis, Russians are liberators, the west has fallen, traditional values are being destroyed by woke-ism, gays are destroying America, stop being a low value male”, I could go on.
Watch Kyle Hill’s video on AI generated content, and the dark forest theory applies to the internet. The internet has become truly hostile today and now I seek to avoid it when I can.
And definitely porn addicts
I believe it is intended as a common human connection. American or Polish, we all find cats funny, and picture worthy.
That would actually be a terrifying precedent. “Can not pair phone to iCar™. Please use an iPhone next time, moron”.
A massive corporate monopoly enforcing the use of its devices by purposefully removing cross compatible functionally between different platforms. Spineless governments don’t do anything cause they are toothless and on the payroll.
In all seriousness improvised ammunition isn’t very hard and it’s doable. All you really need is primer powder and some kind of explosive. I won’t say how but both can be easily made and are pretty readily available. In the rare cases of id required, you can just start asking friends and neighbors if they have any handy.
Haha I did this too but for chic fil a bell pepper crisps.
