    it has a rather insular culture though. like it’s overall a benefit but the major problems are:

    • it documents all of human knowledge as it is now, which in many regards sits with a pre-existing conservative hegemonic bias
    • wikipedia editors have some serious ego problems and will ban you for vandalism if you see a sentence and try to edit it for clarity

    that said, there’s a reason conservatives fear both it and the internet archive
