This is Capcom, so don’t hold your breath thinking they’ll never add the DRM back to the game. There’s precedent.
Yes. I was interested until I realized it’s Capcom.
Capcom needs to work much harder to rehab their reputation with me. I recall them adding DRM to games where, to me, it made no sense. Including weird, seemingly random timing for the change.
I get how there’s an argument to be had about fair online play, and stopping early pirates. But sometimes Capcom seems to me yo just be rolling dice, or trying yo meet an internal DRM use quota.
There’s no excuse for adding DRM to old games where it didn’t exist or had already been removed. https://www.polygon.com/24034967/capcom-drm-resident-evil-revelations-steam-mods/
Capcom are just flat out liars and control freaks who say stupid things like that PC mods are equivalent to cheats.

I could sail the seas and try it but they dared to use Denuvo so it’s on my permanent fuck off list.
I mean, why?
Not like you support the fuckers if you yarr yar your way to it.
If you think you’d like it, try it mate
Shows interest in the game. No matter how small. We lnow companies do look at download numbers.
I support avoiding something on a principle.
Thank you for explaining my reluctance in more detail.
No problem, but also it’s fine for you to have your own stance and opinion on this! There’s little morality when it comes to piracy and everyone has their own compas.
If you want to pirate absolutely everything? Fine. If you buy everything? Also fine. Just be kind to each other and understand each situation is different. An indie game might be cheaper than your lunch or it could be someone’s 1/10th of their monthly income.
I have seen people dog pile on those in less fortunate circumstances for “not supporting indies” and that upsets me.
I mostly avoid games from big publishers because how scummy they are most of the time and of course with how they handle developers, best latest example is Star Wars Zero Company and how EA and Disney is treating the devs at Bit Reactor.
Most games i buy are also games that i can download and have offline because of modding, example Bethesda and their stupid updates that break 95% of mods on release.
Last 2 games i bought were Palworld because fuck Nintendo and it turned out to be a good game and No Man’s Sky because Hello Games has really turned the game around since release and are still releasing free content and i did have fun playing it and that was 2 years ago, played a lot of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. G.A.M.M.A. since then and it’s so good, new one is kinda meh, graphics may be a bit better and that’s the only thing going for it and even that can be improved in the old one if you want to try and get additional mods.
they won’t miss you
Wooo! I can finally give it a go, even though I have heard it is shite compared to the first one.
I very rarely buy games and almost never at full price but on the strength of the first game I would have probably bought this upon release if they hadn’t put denuvo into it. Now they will never get any money from me!
Played ~5 hours and I’m really enjoying it. They have added fast travel (not sure if it was with this or some previous update) which was one thing that kept me from even thinking about getting it before, along with denuvo. It runs great too, buttery smooth on max everything for me. It’s not an astounding game, but definitely a fun time (so far).
Fast travel was in the first game from day 1 it’s a core mechanic of the game ever…
Oh shit I might go back and give this another play now that they upped the number of skill slots
