Polls are garbage. Underpowered, and based on the assumption people vote. They can also pre-determine any result by how and where the polling is done.
If I were the GOP, I would pay pollsters to deliver this result because it would encourage people to not vote. This is exactly how Trump won 2016.
Not me. I’m going to vote and hope it does happen.
Yes, there are still people stupid enough to vote for a Republican senator, even after the past two years.
Ignore the polls, VOTE!
Don’t take anything for granted.
We ALL have to vote!
And Hilary Clinton has a 90% chance of winning the Presidency.
Don’t get complacent, vote.
At one point, I saw 99% and laughed. I knew we were in for bad polling.
Vote early if you can, too.
Articles like this, polls like this, attitudes like this seem fake as fuck to me. They feel like they are manufactured to lull the Dems into not voting.
You skate harder in the 3rd period when you are down by a goal, and they want us to think we are winning. Same thing happened with Harris.
Harris did nothing to convince voters that she gave a fuck about anything other than catering to the wealthy, most people are detached from reading news like this at all.
There are an insane amount of neighborhood groups organizing right now to defend democracy itself that will be much more influential in driving voter turn out. Go text your friends with the concrete steps they need to vote and ask them to do the same if you’re worried.
I agree, but that’s really got nothing to do with what I said.
I’m saying this article won’t change anyone’s mind about anything because nobody is reading anything other than the headline as they scroll by and maybe the comments
Again, if you want people to vote reach out to them directly and remind them how and when and where right now
I have a question. Who cares what average people think about the potential future outcome of the election??? Poll my cats for all I care. This is useless information that casts ignorant poll participants as electoral strategists.
Measuring voters’ expectations (versus their intentions) of control of the House and Senate. I’m sure this would have value in a larger study of propaganda effects, but am I missing some value directly relative to the election? Maybe as part of a study to see if expectations correlated to turnout?
Go vote, articles like these are there to make you stay home thinking it’s already a done deal.
since when do the majority of Americans get what they want?
My wife and I have a scheduled ballot date this weekend to research the issues, fill out our ballots, and take them to the dropoff box.
