It’s my favorite genre so I picked up the $20 early access on PS5 only to be met with a ridiculous queue at around noon on a Tuesday. What? Are only like 5 people allowed online at once?
This is ridiculous.

This is ridiculous.
First time trying a new game at launch?
Pro-tip: plann for queues and crashes for the first day at least.
Pro-tip #2: maybe read or watch a review before buying. That game looks terribad and reviews aren’t particularly good.
It’s unfortunate that your expectation is that a game won’t work at launch rather than us being able to control our own servers or whatnot.
Yeah it is unfortunate. But “hope for the best, expect the worst” serves me well in life and is particularly apt when it comes to video game launches.
I played the beta and I really enjoyed it. Anyway not very helpful pro tips.
Yeah it’s my very first time.
Pro-tip: this isn’t a queue because the game is wildly popular, it’s a queue because of under-provisioning and poorly designed services that can’t handle a normal load.
I saw an ad for this on my console. It took way too much work to find out what type of game it was. By the time I found out what type it was I had seen a dozen negative reviews and no positive ones.
