all social medias are well aware of how addictive they are, and they exploit that fact to the absolute best of their ability. that i replaced my reddit addiction with lemmy addiction is irrelevant–i still spend unhealthy amounts of time on it.
i’m just thankful i never took root in any of the other instatwitsnaptok platforms. i was on facebook for a long time, but finally deleted it. you realize how liberating it is to be done with it, once you’re out of the habit of constantly checking it every few minutes
