As in title - woke up today and sync closes instantly after opening. trying a re-install now.

Edit: thanks all for your feedback.

The culprit was Canary Webview. I uninstalled it and everything’s ok again. All apps working fine.

After re-installing it behaves the same - i get through the setup screens, but after that, it just closes.

The strange thing is, that there were no system updates since 2 weekes ago , sync wasn’t updated either …

I’ve been having some weird issues connecting to Lemmy.World in my browser since yesterday… Wonder if there’s any relation?

In Browser it’s working fine for me

        But it’s not only Sync:

Google, Pinterest, Google Play Books, Gemini, Gmail, Arts & Culture

        are also crashing when opening…

        These are working:

YouTube Music, Google Earth, Chrome, Chrome canary, Camera, Wallet, Resplash, Google One

        It’s so random …

Very weird indeed. If you have a pixel, do you have the VPN enabled? I had some issues with connectivity when using their VPN.

Idk if you read my edit in the main post, i got it working by uninstalling Canary WebView.

Yeah, I’m on Pixel 6a and i don’t have VPN enabled, because of the reason you wrote. I also had some issues and just deactivated it some time ago.

Weren’t they also going to kill VPN in Google One?
