Out of curiosity, does anyone have a valid report of an instance of Trump ever uttering the words, “I’m Sorry?” I just wonder if this is a pathological thing for him and Fred instilled in him the idea that to apologize for anything at any time, no matter how wrong you are is to show weakness.
Had to look this one up, Trump did issue an apology about grabbing women by the pussy, but it was probably not sincere, and only done to better himself than actually have remorse for his actions.
That looks like a calculated non-apology. An actual apology probably doesn’t exist.
He said “I’m sorry if anyone was offended”. He placed the blame on the reaction that others had to his abhorrent statements, not on his actions themselves. He didn’t seem to care that he was in the wrong, only that the reaction from the people was politically inconvenient for him.
Which is an extremely important distinction. “I’m sorry you were offended” is not a true apology, and everyone should be aware of this whether regarding Trump or other bullies you may encounter in your life.
Right, I think that this is really the only thing that comes close to an apology speaks for itself and the type of person Trump is. Every success is because of him and every failure is because of someone else.

Yes but no. It was Roy Cohn who taught him to never acknowledge he lost or was wrong.
No. Narcissism does not alter for that because it feels weak. The narcissist needs continuous praise and to be infallible.
