Western governments ignored widespread fraud in South Korean adoptions and sometimes pressured the country to keep the kids coming, an investigation led by The Associated Press has found.
The worst part is a lot of them gave up the kids to foster care in a couple years because they didn’t want them anymore. And some were so negligent that they didn’t do the child’s naturalization paperwork properly making them technically illegal immigrants and deported as adults.
I don’t think I could blame someone for wanting to adopt a baby and not an older foster care kid who has had a lot of problems. People who do that are saints.

They got a baby. They dumped them on others when they outgrew that stage. There’s a LOT of blame to go around.
