One thing to note is that if the vehicle being driven wasn’t an SUV, that bollard would have easily been seen through the rear view mirror. Looks like the bollard is ‘just’ low enough to stop below the top of the rear seats. SUVs bad.

If you really look through history, I think you’ll find that people did things like this because they were SO BORED. An entire town would come out to watch a small time trial because there just wasn’t anything better to do. Hell, my parents who grew up in the 70’s once told me “We’d be outside and bicycle around as kids all the time, after a while… we were so incredibly bored.” And during that time, tv and radio existed. I’m very happy we have the entertainment we do.

Absolutely, given the pretty low active users (compared to large social medias anyway) there’s a lot going on here. There’s certainly not infinite new content like Reddit, but that may not be a bad thing.

Though development is long dead, the servers were taken offline recently and it was delisted by Epic, people are still playing the Unreal Tournament pre-alpha (commonly called UT4) which you can get here: https://www.ut4ever.org/downloads

You’ll also need to register an account here and merge it with an Epic account: https://ut4.timiimit.com/Instructions/UT4UU

The download should come with the unofficial update which gives access to the private servers, I play on the Unreal Carnage servers regularly which often gets 8-15 players at a time, more than enough for some deathmatch. Would love to see some more people around!

(Mind I’m in New Zealand, which is why my ping is so high, the netcode handles it well somehow)
