EK Water Blocks, for those who don’t know and haven’t clicked. They make cooling systems for gaming PCs.

Thank you. I really didn’t want to watch a 36 minute video to get the basics.
Sounds like a prelude to bankruptcy. Also sounds like an incredibly badly run company. Difficult business to be in though I guess.
I wonder if their lawyers are getting paid…
I’m sorry, if I wasn’t paid for more than one pay period, and zero check on period 2…I’m getting a lawyer.
It’s an easy win. The employee makes more than missed checks and guaranteed pay day for lawyer.
Lawyer not even necessary in some areas, can just contact department of labor and they will go after them.
You may be underestimating the length of the legal process involved.
Absolutely disgusting behavior from EK. I hope the workers unionize over this, if the company still exists by then.
Generally speaking once a company starts missing multiple payrolls there is nothing left to unionize.
Because of the legal ramifications missing payroll is usually the last step before just before shutting down completely.
Sad, EK used to be huge in the watercooling scene.
I remember when EK was just Edvard König selling stuff on XtremeSystems.org
Granted, my interest in overclocking and cooling peaked in the mid noughties, but I had no idea EK had gotten this big.
Yes, some 20 years ago, even before the first logo or company.
The first logo was always so funny to me (so bad that kinda good):
Damn I hope the entire watercooling industry doesn’t collapse. I like having a quiet pc and keeping my gpu cool enough that it won’t eventually kill itself.
You can use hardware store ptfe tubing and vehicle antifreeze. Beyond that, it’s possible to machine your own g14 barbs and then it’s distantly possible to diy waterblocks if you have an entire garage full of machine tools but that’s a monumental amount of effort. You’ll never diy a radiator though.
EK has over 230 water blocks, 40 liquid cooling kits, 85 reservoirs, 40 pumps, 73 radiators, and 212 miscellaneous accessories.
Damn, that seems like a ridiculously large product lineup for such a relatively small niche market.
