  • Maybe it has changed since the last time I tried on a rental (about a year ago), but it felt too gimmicky to be useful. It constantly wanted me to jerk the wheel, and would randomly turn itself off otherwise. Despite the fact I still had both my hands on the wheel, and the camera sensor should have noticed I was constantly looking at the road.

And then the few times it stayed active for a longer period, I was even more bored than usual with driving, and I didn’t feel much safer. Especially with country roads, it was constantly doing the speed limit instead of slightly slowing down in the few areas without fences (wildlife running into the road), and it was also happy to drive through a long and deep visible pool of water on the highway at like 110km/hr.

It’d be different if Tesla had LiDAR, but nah, it’s not for me. I’m glad you like it though.

  • That’d be an unusual setup. If you have users deploying containers on your host – that you trust enough to run whatever containers, but don’t want to give them ssh to the host – you’d usually have some kind of frontend such as Portioner, where you can have container exec and such.

Containerization is not virtualization. It’s very possible to break out of containers, especially if configured badly, or if there are any found exploits in the container engine or even the kernel. Containers are “good enough” for the majority of projects, but it has never been designed to be a truly hardened sandbox.

Basically, if you’re running an OpenSSH server inside a container, it’s likely that you’ve gotten the wrong ideas about securing your environment, and thus some old libraries in an old Debian image is the least of your worries.

  • Ah, I got in. Just like the Swedish king, I’m actually dyslexic haha.

I’d love to be able to disable animations though. And be able to zoom when viewing image posts. And be able to view NSFW by holding in on the main feed (it seems like holding in on any image copies it to my Android clipboard?). And opening links via WebView or such instead of Chrome custom tabs could be cool, as I like how it’s basically a fresh session every time. And swiping to upvote is nice too.

(I know you didn’t ask for feedback, because it’s still really nice how it is now; just some ideas if you’re bored – no idea if it’s practical it’d even be implement this kind of stuff inwhat I think is a progressive webapp?) Keep up the great work! /Sent from my Blorp
