    Trump has no class.

Before anyone says “what does this have to do with Trump?” - This is an event hosted by Trump for his birthday using tax payer money. Admonish the fighter all you wamt but this is an environment fostered by Trump. As stated in a comment above, the fighter was probably paid to say that, with Trump in the audience, on his birthday. Probably paid him in Trump coin or something.

This is an event hosted by Trump for his birthday using tax payer money.

I still can’t fucking believe that’s legal. How is it that he gets to spend $60 million on turning the White House into white-trash trailer-park ghetto cage match on the tax payer dime.

Because it’s not legal, but it’s an oligarch take over so he’s getting away with it along with a many other things.

The US 1% finally went mask off and don’t care what the general public thinks of them now. Trump was the permission structure that allowed it.

Uh, wait for autonomous crowd control before it gets really mask off. Then those people fighting in cages will not do it voluntarily anymore and certainly not getting paid.

Trump was elected because of the permission structure.

No functioning republic would allow him past the primary. This is one of the unintended (joke) side effects of Citizens United and Super PACs, it just took a few years and billionaires are sharing the stage with Presidential victors, laughing. There’s a huge amount of money behind him, and he got more “free” press than anybody ever.

Any rule (legal, moral, social) is only ever worth as much as its enforcement. Beyond that, it’s a mere suggestion. If people obey him, whether his commands are legal is academical. They certainly are effective.

The US government has been too unrestrained for generations and it’s only getting worse regardless of who is in power. The people aren’t ready to do anything about it yet either.

It’s kinda baffling. A country with a violent gun culture obsessed with rising up against any totalitarian government… And yet all of it is just a lie funded by the military industrial complex.

I don’t see how any citizen with a gun stands a chance against drone strikes and SWAT teams. The best leverage American workers have over the rich is the same as everywhere else in the world:

          • Stop going to work.
          • Peacefully disobey the authorities.
          • Don’t believe the narrative and create art.
          • Form strong local communities and alternative economies.

          My 2c anyway.

I’m not talking about that. It is telling that that’s where you went, though.

No, you see, there are rules and none of us are above the rules. Rules that are unimportant must be dropped (not prosecuting cause it “could look bad”, not using the majority in the senate “cause what if they get the majority?”) and rules that are important must be enforced (antitrust, holding people in power accountable).

Kindergarten insults just reinforces us vs them thinking. They, the people elected to rule, are not us. We, the people, we’re the us. I don’t care if your propaganda exposure made you pick team blue or team red. Largely, neither of those fucks want to actually lead, they just want to sit on the heap. If the red team makes someone actually interested in leading, great, but they’re too busy indoctrinating racists and religious nut jobs so they don’t actually have to do their jobs. Team blue is similar, but their vector of control (minority groups who “have no other choice” and white people who are scared of seeming racist) at least makes them attempt to do the job they’re elected to do. But they will wiggle their way out of it at their soonest convenience.

We have almost 50 years of examples of Republican Presidents, Congressmen, Senators and Supreme Court Justices ignoring the rules and societal norms to further their right wing agenda. While the left adheres to those same rules.

This last President has shown we can’t afford anymore of your line of thinking.

Yes, and while you’re dutifully keeping track of the other team, during those same 50 years, the Democrats have backslid into conservativism light. I’m not saying “they go low, we go high” I’m saying that the rules need to apply to everyone. I’m saying thinking of politics like sports ball makes everyone kind of suck. Go out, talk to your conservative friends, make them understand that it doesn’t matter who leads, we need them to actually talk about and do the action of leading. If their politicians choose whipping people into frenzies about literally anything other than the job of running the country, they need to go.

He just had an old buddy on his show a few days ago who was talking to him about how Trump had turned on Republicans, specially about selling out federal land. Rogan agreed, starts ranting about the Epstein files, but then immediately talks about how great Trump is, and how cool he is in person, and just how much he “loves america.” His pal then talked about how the upcoming whitehouse fight was shameful, and that government should lead, not put on entertainment, and Rogan just fully stopped pretending to push back at all.

Rogan rants and raves, but he is close friends with Trump. He won’t turn his back on him.
