Police in Utrecht, in the Netherlands, found the “sneaky witness” when arresting a shoplifting subject. Politie Utrecht shared a picture of the bird on their instagram page last week. “We recently arrested a suspect for a shoplifting,” the caption said. “During the arrest we found a sneaky witness with feathers and beak on the suspect’s shoulder.”

Well, yes, but a rare snack wont kill it. It’s like triple fudge cake for humans - yeah its bad for us, but having it once in a while really wont do much harm.

Indeed, however according to Article 32, section 1-B3 of International Bird Law, all prisoners should have a perch of acceptable size in relation to their body mass. Not only is the food nutritionally sub-standard, but there is as well no visible perch in their cell. This picture provides evidence (albeit circumstantial) of atrocious living conditions of bird prisoners in bird jail.

I don’t remember the birds signing the geneva convention, so it doesn’t apply to them. And bird law doesn’t apply to humans.

Shouldn’t partake in criminal activity if birdy wants to decide by itself about its diet.

A prison should be a place of rehabilitation which means proper diet, sleep and structured activities. Thus, bird feed would be much more suitable. Indeed, the bread is in contravention of International Bird Law, Article 32, section 4-A1.

Difficult to arrest the bird after it’s been shot 6 times because they thought it was an acorn.

American cops’re afraid of acorns as a threat to their manhood, which is frankly understandable.
